Home again, home again, jiggety jig.

It is "the day after"- Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014.  Here is the gist of yesterday:

We left the hotel yesterday at 6:45am (5:45 our time).  Made it to the airport.  Returned the rental.  Checked bags and got our boarding passes.  Filled out paperwork for Customs, and made it through Customs.  Got on the first plane- 3hrs.40min.  Did the layover in Miami and had TGI Fridays for lunch.  2nd plane-3hrs.30min.  Got our baggage at baggage claim.  Found the shuttle for the parking lot and lugged the luggage on board.  Got off where they dropped us off, and realized we were in the wrong place.  Lugged luggage back in the snow, to the airport.  Checked Info and they told us we got on the Economy shuttle and were dropped off at Lot B, but we actually needed to get on the "Economy Parking" shuttle which goes to the parking garage (Lot B) instead, so we waited for that shuttle and repeated.  (Confusing?  Um, yeah.)  Lugged baggage to van and climbed in. Mark paid for our parking and we used GPS to help us navigate the detours happening around the airport.  Sat in rush hour traffic.  Last minute, picked up Nellie in Manchester from a great bud who dog-sat for us.  3 hours after landing, we made it to New Boston. Expected to pull over on the road and hoof it up the snowy driveway until Mark could snow-blow, since we got over a foot while away, but was pleasantly surprised and thankful when we found out neighbors had made it so that we could drive up, instead.  Neighbor also left banana bread and a cute "welcome home" picture drawn by cute neighbor kiddo.

All in all, 14 hours of travel yesterday. Boys did not complain once, and were awesome.  Compliments over wonderful behavior everywhere, which made the long day nicer.

Today, reflecting on this wonderful experience that we had as a family.  We will never forget it.  Cam said it was: "the best days of my whole life!"  We agree.
